What to expect

Housemarque has 50+ employees, most of whom are directly involved in game development. Our team boasts an eclectic background and a great mix of experience, talent and youth. Art Director

Art Director

Housemarque is looking for an Art Director!

Housemarque is looking for an Art Director with proven track record and portfolio of designing games, levels and graphics styles. Your responsibility would be to create a vision of the game visuals and direct an art team towards that goal. You also would work together with an Outsource Manager in directing the look and feel of  outsourced assets. You will also need to be proactive and capable of handling pressure, as well as being able to work and solve problems independently.

 

REQUIRED

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Art Lead/Art Director in a current generation console or PC game project
  • Strong understanding of modern game graphics requirements, technologies, 3D softwares and tools

As a Game Audio Designer you are familiar with games as a cutting edge entertainment media. You have experience with audio middleware such as Wwise (preferred) and are familiar with industry standard audio editing and DAW software and their plugins.  Laying tracks, mixing and mastering linear media such as trailers and cinematics is not a problem for you. You have experience with game engines including Unreal 4 and expertise of audio asset preparation and in-game mixing to improve the production pipeline. Performing and recording Foley, and working with Foley (and voiceover) providers is not a problem for you. You own the audio production and develop and maintain production roadmaps for the audio team in coordination with other departments.

Devops Specialist

Devops Specialist

Housemarque is looking for a Devops Specialist!

As a Devops Specialist, your responsibilities are to develop and maintain backend systems for our games, internal systems and marketing materials. You will also need to be proactive and capable of handling pressure, as well as being able to work independently, if needed. As our motto is “Game is King”, you need to have a solid understanding how devops can serve our players.

Your mission is to design and implement cloud architecture services, so you’ll need to be familiar with coding in multiple languages as well as ops tools, such as logging services, monitoring and load balancing. It’s definitely a plus if you are already familiar with the games industry, but all you really need is passion for developing great games.

You’ll be working with a team of experts each bringing their own talent to the table. We’ll pair you with other programmers, gameplay designers, 3D artists, level designers and the like.

You should be well-versed in ops tools such as Docker, Packer, Chef, Puppet, Ansible and concepts like AWS, Heroku, Google Compute Engine, virtualization and continuous integration and delivery. You never restrict your toolbox to one language only, you’ll choose the best one for the job at hand. You’ll need plenty of programming experience and familiarity in programming languages such as Clojure, Python, Ruby, Javascript, C++, C# and Java.

The tasks for a senior animator at Housemarque allow expressing oneself with a wide spectrum, all the way from animating humans to weird alien lifeforms and everything in-between, from gameplay animation to cutscenes.

We would kindly like to underline, that all senior animator applicants must meet the required qualifications listed below. This position is suitable only for a firmly experienced game animator, who knows what a full modern development cycle demands and doesn’t need to be taught the basics of a modern game animation pipeline.
